Concerns were raised about the lack of
responsiveness on the part of the Management Company.
Application Packets
ACC discussed the submission and approval procedures
for processing application packets. Because of the lack of timely response on
the part of the Management Company, the ACC agreed to have applications
submitted to an ACC member by the 15th of the month preceding the next meeting
of the ACC. The member would review the package for completeness and present the
application at the next meeting. The resident would send a copy of the package
to the Management Company.
Review Application
Lot 9 submitted a deck construction for approval.
The ACC approved the deck construction as submitted.
ACC Handbook
The ACC members agreed to work in teams of two to
draft the ACC Handbook. Terri Price and Alina Urdaneta would work on the
Application Process and the Forms Sections; Sherry Honour and Juanita Wheeler
would develop the Guidelines and Maintenance Sections. A draft of each would be
presented at the next monthly meeting.
Community Developer
Concern was expressed about the bamboo growing in
the drainage ditch in the dry pond. The question was raised as to whose
responsibility it is to clean it out.
The ACC engaged in discussion about ways to apply
pressure to the developer to complete the road, drainage and landscaping. A
suggestion was made to circulate a petition to homeowners that would be attached
to a letter to the developer asking for a date of completion. A copy would also
be sent to the Fairfax County Representative for this area. Alina Urdaneta was
going to call Sam Pixley to ask about the bond.
Next meeting of the ACC will be on Thursday, October
12, 7:30 p.m. at the home of Juanita Wheeler, 3727 Valley Oaks Drive.
The meeting was dismissed at 8:35 p.m.
